MEET THE TRAVELING DVM

Hi, I’m Willow.

I’m a Wisconsin-based veterinarian, working mom of two, and the family travel creator behind The Traveling DVM.

Our family doesn’t travel full-time or have unlimited vacation days. We plan trips around careers, school schedules, real budgets, and all the unpredictable moments that come with taking children somewhere new. I created this site to show other busy parents that meaningful family travel can still fit into a very full life.

Here you’ll find:

  • Real itineraries from trips we’ve personally taken

  • Honest advice about traveling with kids

  • Memorable experiences, unique stays, and practical ways to make travel possible

From international vacations and weekend getaways to mother-daughter adventures and trips without the kids, I share what worked, what didn’t, and what I wish I had known before we left.
